The goal of SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk is to give UK small businesses owners more accurate pricing information on a wide range of business products and services to help them find the right supplier and get the best deal.
In theory, the internet should make it easier than ever to compare prices on products and services. The unfortunate reality is that not all industries offer small businesses transparent pricing options. Thus forcing you to call and get quotes from multiple vendors.
This can be a huge waste of time. It also means you’re never quite sure you’ve got the best deal.
While we can’t do much about how other businesses choose to operate, we can at least give you a guide to pricing information for the products and services you need to run your business.
That’s why we make price the main focus of each of guides. Some guides have very detailed and accurate pricing information, because this is publicly available. Whereas other guides will only be able to give you a general indication of prices based on our own research and the type and size of business you run.
Does SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk sell business products and/or service?
No, we are an information-only website and simply provide information about various products and services. We do not sell anything ourselves.
How does SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk make money?
Just like you, we’re also a small business and have to make money to keep the lights on.
In general, we make money in one of two ways:
- Affiliate programs: When we link to certain external websites (e.g. Amazon), they pay us a small commission if you end up buying something during your visit. This does not increase the end price to you, so really it’s win-win.
- Quote comparisons: Some products (e.g. business energy, payment services, etc.) can’t easily be purchased by businesses directly online. And other products (e.g. phone systems, vehicle tracking, etc.) the best prices may not be offered by companies that do sell direct online. For these products/services we offer online quotes in conjunction with our partners who only pay us a commission if you choose to go ahead with your quote(s), after an initial call. Once again, there is absolutely no-cost and no-obligation to you.
To make it clear how we’re making money from each guide, we disclose our monetisation method(s) at the bottom of each page.
Please note, we do not sell any user data, but we may need to share it with our partners to offer you quote services. We try do our best to make it clear who these partners are so there is no confusion about who you’ll be speaking to.
How accurate are the prices on SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk?
To be honest it depends. Some products and services have very transparent pricing and others really depend on the type of business you’re running. For example, a large seasonal holiday camp in Scotland will pay very different prices for energy, broadband internet, card payments, etc. compared to a small webdesign studio in London.
Therefore, for products and services that depend on the size and type of business you run, we can only provide an estimate of the prices you can expect to pay. You’ll almost certainly need to speak to someone to get accurate prices for your particular business.
Disclaimer: While every effort is done to make sure we display accurate pricing information on our site, we accept no responsibility for any inaccuracies that may appear. Always do your own homework before purchasing any business products or services.
